The Club Membership in 1957 was 176.
We regret to record the deaths of C. I. W. Fox and S. H. Holmes.
The Annual General Meeting was held at the Hotel Majestic, Harrogate on the 16th November. The following Officers for 1957/58 were elected : President, S. MARSDEN; Vice-Presidents, C. W. On the 44th Annual Dinner which followed, held for the first time in the history of the Club away from Leeds, S. Marsden was in the chair, and the principal guest was Professor N. E. Odell. Kindred Clubs were represented by G. A. Dummett, Alpine Club ; K. W. Henshall, Rucksack Club, R. Down-ham, Wayfarers’ Club ; D. Murray, Fell and Rock Climbing Club, Major B. Rhodes, Gritstone Club ; A. C. Waterfall, Craven Pot-Hole Club ; Dr. A. Jowett, Northern Pennine Club ; Dr. J. C. Foster, Yorkshire Mountaineering Club. There was an attendance at the Dinner of 157.
