16th November 2024. The President, Becca Humphreys, invites you to dinner at the Falcon Manor Hotel, Settle, and to the AGM and lecture being held nearby at the Settle Social Club.
The guest speaker this year is Fleur Loveridge. A professor at Leeds University, she has caved all over the world as well as nearer home in the Dales.
Lowstern is as usual available free of charge for members and guests. Breakfasts will be provided at £5 for those staying. A few rooms may still be available at the Falcon as well as numerous hotel and B&B options in Settle.
The usual Sunday walk will be organised followed by afternoon tea at Lowstern.

We’ll be sleeping in the van so no bunks needed but will taxi to/from Settle so no need for Hotel parking. Assume that will be cash on the day.
No need for Carol and me to sit together: just nice to be on the same table!
We may well book in to Lowstern a day or 2 before the weekend and will likely stay on on the Sunday/Monday as we plan a few days perhaps to top Boar, Howgills and maybe Cross Fells before heading to Haweswater and eventually our own AGM+Dinner in Langdale the weekend after.
Our Secretary has been away but Carol’s invite/reply will be in the pipeline soon, I believe.
